Yes! The countdown to getting clean is on so we put together helpful tips to help you prepare.

Whats next?

Washing on the line

If you are having a house wash, roof wash or roof treatment we highly recommend that you remove all washing from the line so that it does not get bleached or wet. It’s also a good idea to move any shoes, doormats, or anything else that you don’t want getting bleached or wet.

Old windows can leak

If your windows are old (particularly if they are wooden) it’s a good idea to put towels down in case they leak.

Roof cleans when you are on tank water

If you’re having a roof treatment or a roof wash and you are on tank water, please disconnect the tanks. If you are unsure of how to do this, please contact us to let us know you will need our assistance.

Fur babies

If you have any dogs on the property, please insure they are secured or even better put away safely inside. The water blasters can be noisy, and this can be quite scary so making sure your fur baby feels safe and secure is something we do strongly advise. The same thing goes for any other animals like caged feather babies (birds) or those oh so cute guinea pigs or bunny rabbits.

Fur babies and bug treatments

If you are getting a bug treatment, then the same thing applies with your fur and feather babies as the previous bullet point. If you have a fish tanks or fish ponds you MUST cover these.

Outside plants and furniture

If we are washing decks, paths or concrete and there are plants or furniture please ensure that this is removed so that we can do a complete wash of the area. If for some reason you are unable to move these items, then please let us know in advance and we will see if your friendly and helpful Blast Away Guy can lend a hand.  😊

Are you on tank water?

A friendly reminder that if you are on tank water, please disconnect the tank prior to any roof washes or treatments. If you are unable to do this yourself please let us know as we are happy to do it for you and will just need to check a few things with you first.

Is your water pressure adequate?

Poor water pressure can often mean that the job can take 3 times longer and sometimes even more than this. This is made worse if there are two guys with a water blaster each coming to complete the job. if you don’t have great water pressure, please let us know because we can bring additional water to the job to help the water pressure keep up. If we get to a job and the water pressure is not adequate, we will need to adjust the price. We will contact you prior to completing the job to ensure you are happy with the adjusted price.

Does your water require power to work?

Many holiday homes rely on power to make the water pump work. If your holiday home will not have power on the date, we have scheduled the work to be completed please give instructions on accessing the power.

If we turn up to a property and are unable to complete the job because we cannot access the water due to the power, we will charge travel and mileage to cover our costs.
